We serve such an amazing Father. He has been so faithful this week to restore my spirit. The past two weeks were consumed with the dreaded thesis & I don't care what they say, sitting at your computer all day, when its absolutely gorgeous outside makes one dreary/depressed...so needless to say, i was in a grumpy mood for about a week and a half. BUT ptl-the Lord has lifted me up once again & proven sovereign-like it should surprise me; just looking back on this week I can see where Ive struggled, prayed and the Lord answered my prayer-whoo hoo!

its really late, way past this girl's bedtime, so i'm out

ponderings

this Christian life we lead,
its a journey of surrender kids, reckless abandonment for the glory of the Lord.
its daily renewal, trusting & acknowledgements that I am not my own.
its freedom
its sweet & exciting, even daring, full of risk taking
its scary, with countless trials and struggles & the hardest thing ever

its satisfaction of eternal life with the Almighty, Jehovah, King of Kings, Alpha & Omega, Adonai, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Conselor, Lord Most High
its Jesus

now that my life pretty much consists of driving buses seeing as classes are virutally over.....most of all the updates are probably gonna be about the precious darlings that ride my sacred No. 33-keep her in your prayers yall-fo sheezy, she's falling apart...
on the up side-
i think its offical, my elementary kids think i'm the coolest-we cut up/joke/tease, they tell me about school, we just have a bundle of fun from 3:00 til they are dropped off at their casas. the intermediate, middle school & highschoolers-well we havent reached total "tightness level"..especially cause in highschool its definitely NOT cool to ride the bus & well yall all know about jr high-but i still try-its that subconsious of wanting to be the cool kid but not & i doubt i'll ever be the cool kid, but hey i can be a great bus driver

random funny story: so my ADHD kid, Jaxx, (frame of reference-out of about 45 kids on my bus, he's one of 2 that has an assigned seat) anyways..he gets off the bus & totally yells "PEACE OUT" as he's running to get the mail- ya just have to smile.

I think i'm really lucky that I can enjoy my job so much, and even on bad days; like getting your bus stuck in the mud, its never boring like sitting at a desk staring at a computer; i feel i'm contributing to the community...i dunno, its silly cause i'm just a bus driver ( I know thats totally a line..but i didnt mean as one...)

i love how the Lord blesses us in the most simple things. for instance, driving school buses can get pretty old, real quick-especially in the mornings when half the kids are still asleep, but i always try to greet them with my killer smile & "good morning" or "whats up" & such, and then in the afternoon its "have a great day, evening, see ya later" and so on...none of them really acknowledge or even respond 90% of the time, so back to the cool part..today as i'm dropping off one of my last elementary kids, i tell him good-bye and he hops off the bus, & before I start to drive off he turns around and waves to me :) it made my afternoon!!!
thank you Lord for having your hand in everything! you are the ALMIGHTY :)

so i'm doing pretty good at this posting, but who knows if anyone is actually reading it...
tonight....where do i begin? TONS of really random fun. first beginning with a girls only dinner at Rudy's, yea for meat! then anna and i hit the AMC/Maggies GLOW 5K, heard an outstanding band, none other than Drying Off Grandpa. I finished the 5K, running more than walking, quite impressed with myself seeing as i havent worked out in a loooong time. after the run we met up with our dear friend Seth Johnson and his music crew at Taco C, yummy queso, fun conversation, then we hit it old school at Sweet's, just me, anna & mr. johnson & some java shakes...good times were had!

that sums up the happenings of tonight, tomorra is Island Party & a luncheon for my wonderful "former" roommates (one of whom is engaged :))

Rec Fun

what a great night! nothing beats sand volleyball at the rec with quality kids-old friends, new friends, even strangers! but alas, this old woman must call it a night, the pillow is calling.
hope everyone has a wonderful friday....school's almost over my graduating friends-truck on through!

its here

i've realized that i've missed blogging. I spent all summer journaling online & have missed it this whole year.
so..because of a huge case of writers block on "the dreaded thesis", i've decided to pick up this chronicling my life online for random people or really great friends to read while they are either bored at work or just keeping up with me from another country, or for whatever reason they care to read about a 23 yr old townie :)

well, its back to the paper...there will be more updates to come, you can count on that!
